Supply Chain Management Association Alberta (SCMA AB) in association with Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), offers courses in leading to SAIT’s Applied Project Management Certificate.  

This project execution workshop, based on the Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) latest PMBOK® Guide, focuses on effectively overseeing and managing the various components of a project to successful completion. During project execution, project team members and stakeholders must work together to carry out the plan and stay in line with the project’s scope, time, cost, and quality objectives. You will examine and apply proven tools and techniques for quality assurance, project team development, project information distribution, and selection of sellers.

Module 1:       Direct and Manage Project work

  • Describe organization structures in the context of projects.
  • Understand project execution and the direct and manage project work process.

Module 2:       Quality Assurance, Conduct Procurement

  • Illustrate how project quality assurance integrates with the overall Project Management process.
  • Illustrate how Conducting Procurement integrates with overall Project Management Process
  • Understand the basics of Principled Negotiation.

Module 3:       Acquire, Develop and Manage Team

  • Examine methods used to assemble the project team.
  • Explore proven methods for enhancing team performance.
  • Understand the process Manage Project Team.

Module 4:       Manage, Stakeholder, Manage Communications

  • Distinguish techniques commonly used for effective information distribution.
  • Explain the methods commonly used to keep stakeholders engaged and informed.
