Stephen Tapp

Deputy Cheif Economist & Director of Economic Research and Analysis Department
  

 

Stephen Tapp is the Deputy Chief Economist and Director of the Economic Research and Analysis Department at Export Development Canada. In these roles, he helps oversee EDC’s global economic and export forecast; briefs senior management on the evolving global trade landscape; and manages EDC’s longer-term research program.

Prior to joining EDC, Stephen was a Research Director at the Institute for Research on Public Policy. He entered the federal government through the Recruitment of Policy Leaders program to work as a senior economist and adviser for Canada’s first Parliamentary Budget Officer. Stephen has also worked: as an economist and forecaster at the Bank of Canada; as a researcher at Finance Canada and the C.D. Howe Institute; and an instructor at Queen’s University.

His research was awarded the Doug Purvis prize for Canadian economic policy and has been published in academic journals, such as the Canadian Journal of Economics and Canadian Public Policy. Stephen has a Ph.D. and a Master’s in economics from Queen’s University and an Honors degree from Western University.

He is on the board of the Ottawa Economics Association and a member of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada’s Investment Monitor Advisory Council.










Ross Prusakowski

Principal Economist & Country Risk Analyst
 

Ross Prusakowski is a Principal Economist and Country Risk Analyst with Export Development Canada. A key source of global perspective, Ross is the chair of EDC Economics’ forecasting committee and the primary analyst for Canada and global energy markets. In his nearly six years with EDC, Ross has also covered countries in the Middle East and North Africa as well as the aero-space and forestry sectors.

Prior to joining EDC, Ross previously worked as an economist for the Conference Board of Canada working on energy, environment and transportation policy issues and as an economist with the Government of Alberta’s Department of Finance. Ross holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Ottawa as well as an undergraduate degree in economics and history from the University of Alberta.

 


Event Refund and Cancellation Policy: 


Refunds:

Refund requests must be received 1 week prior to the event. No requests will be processed within 7 days of the event. This is due to our catering arrangements; we must provide final confirmation with enough lead time for caterers to accommodate us. In extenuating circumstances, event registrations can be transferred to another delegate.

Cancellation:

Due to unforeseen circumstance if Supply Chain Canada - Alberta Institute cancels an event all registrants will be offered the option to transfer the registration to a future event or receive a refund.
