Just in Time vs Just in Case - A Fine Judgement in Determining Strategy

Date:   Dec 16, 2020
Time:   12:00 PM (MST)
Location:   Online Platform:  ZOOM

2 Credits

The first event in the Supply Chain Risk & Resiliency, we will explore the enduring and competing philosophies of Just in Time (JIT) and Just In Case (JIC).

  • Are you a diehard JIT or JIC believer?
  • What are the pros and cons of each way of working?
  • Can they work together?
  • Does each way of working fit with certain industries more than others?

In this conversation, we will explore the critical considerations when setting the direction for Supply Chain and then operationalize/put into action the chosen strategy.

  • Understand the strategic choices being made to optimize your organization's supply chain. This puts you in a position to contribute to strategic thinking, make your plans and decisions align with required direction, report back problems, and identify and manage the risks that emerge in implementation.
  • Be informed and prepared to bring greater value to how supply chain management gets done effectively for your organization
