In the supply chain management role, effective communication and the ability to inspire change are paramount. Our webinar, “Influencing Procurement Change Through Storytelling,” explores the transformative power of storytelling as a tool for communication and inspiration. ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Steve Brierley Headshot

STEVE BRIERLEY

Over the past 20 years, Steve Brierley has held progressive positions in corporate training, talent management and executive leadership development in corporate and post-secondary sectors. While working in California, Steve was the General Manager of a multi-national corporate training organization that focused on delivery, then assumed the role of Director of Executive Education at the University of Alberta School of Business in the Calgary office. He then joined the energy sector as Group Lead, Corporate Training & Talent Management at Encana Inc. with responsibility for employee and leadership development, succession planning and performance management. After a five-year term, Steve then joined Enbvering IT skills and leadership development to Fortune 100 organizations and government agencies.

After four years in the USA, Steve returned to Canada and joined SAIT’s corporate training department in the role of Corporate Learning Adridge Inc. as the Director of Executive Development & Talent Management where he led executive development, coaching, Enbridge University, succession planning, performance management and employee engagement. In his last corporate role, Steve was Associate Vice President of Talent Management for Canadian Tire, FGL Sports and Marks where he was accountable for corporate talent practices such as succession, performance, employee development and executive development.

Currently, Steve teaches Leadership at SAIT in the BBA, BA and diploma programs. Also, he provides talent management and leadership consulting to corporations and non-profit organizations.

As a lifelong learner, Steve obtained a Master of Arts in Leadership from Royal Roads University and is a Certified Executive Coach from the Royal Roads University graduate program and PCC accredited by the International Coach Federation. In his spare time, Steve enjoys writing and publishing books. He released a book in March 2020 on Amazon titled Being a Better Human Being at Work and Home and his newest book, Being a Better Human Teenager is available. A third book, Inspiring Better Humans will be coming out in fall 2023. Steve seeks adventure on his motorcycle or in the mountains.

REFUND POLICY

Registrants will receive a full refund for courses cancelled by Supply Chain Canada, Alberta Institute.

Registrants who have received written acceptance into a course and provided written notice to Supply Chain Canada, Alberta Institute of their withdrawal from the course 14 days prior to the first day of class, will be provided with a full refund. After 14 days, refunds will not be granted.

If you would like to withdraw from a course please send an e-mail to cotto@supplychaincanada.com. You are required to inform the Alberta Institute of your intent as soon as possible. Clearly state your intention to withdraw and provide authorization for us to proceed.
