Course Overview

For many reasons, sourcing processes are often executed without the benefit of a strategy. Even in a resource-constrained environment, individual practitioners can support each competitive bidding action with an intelligent strategy. This   workshop will provide participants with a “strategy tips list” which - if diligently applied in practice - will result in improved effectiveness of the request for… (RF(X)) process – which in turn should result in better supplier selection decisions.

Key Learning Outcome(s):

Participants will learn about setting strategy for sourcing  processes, providing accurate and comprehensive scopes of work, creating RF(X) that meet company needs, managing and reporting processes and evaluation practices, ultimately giving them a competitive advantage.

This workshop will not only review an introduction to competitive bidding and the basics of the process but also offer a more practical focus on building skills for use at work. It was designed to give practitioners exposure to best practices and then an opportunity to apply them in a way that simulates “on-the-job” settings. Participants will be able to return to work with selected methods, tools and templates for immediate application that will enable the creation of greater value for their respective organizations.
