Course Overview    

Supply Chain Canada, Alberta Institute is pleased to offer a suite of workshops on the procurement process from planning through to implementation. The workshops will be tailored to the specific needs of the participants by means of a preliminary survey. This unique approach allows attendees to address topics related to their own work environment.

Who Should Attend? Individuals whose responsibilities touch on or deal directly with supply chain working for organizations that have set a goal to transform their procurement functions.

Day 1: Strategic Procurement Plan - Drivers and Opportunities

This session will focus on the elements of the Strategic Planning Process. We will examine four areas: Process, Technology, People and Sustainability to meet organizational supply chain requirements.

Day 2: Streamlining the Procurement Process

This session will address the creative strategies for improving procurement efficiency within an organization.

Day 3: Implementing Recommendations

This session will address how to implement the recommendations made as a result of the Strategic Planning process.

About the Instructor:

Boris Tsinman is the Principal of Novus Incorporated; a training, consulting and advisory firm that assists clients in navigating the procurement process with ease and precision. Over the past 30 years, Boris has applied his Mechanical Engineering education to his work within the Supply Chain field in both the public and private sectors. Boris offers an innovative approach to problem solving based on extensive experience and knowledge of strategic sourcing, procurement and logistics.

Boris is the author and presenter of a variety of courses with an emphasis on Procurement and Supply Chain and has written articles on these subjects for various publications.


Refund and Cancellation Policy: 


  • Registrants will receive a full refund to courses cancelled by Supply Chain Canada, Alberta Institute.
  • Registrants who have received written acceptance into a course and provide written notice to Supply Chain Canada, Alberta Institute of their withdrawal from the course 14 days or more prior to the first day of class, will be provided a full refund. After 14 days prior up to 2 days prior to the start of the class, Supply Chain Canada, Alberta Institute will refund half the course registration fee. After the 2- day period, refunds will not be granted.


Due to unforeseen circumstance if Supply Chain Canada - Alberta Institute cancels an event all registrants will be offered the option to transfer the registration to a future event or receive a refund.
